Larry, a native New Yorker, is an award-winning composer who has worked in the commercial and film arenas for 25 years . He attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, then began traveling the world as a pianist and arranger for The Glenn Miller Orchestra. While touring, he worked with the likes of Tony Bennett, Ray Charles and many more. Eventually, he settled in Chicago, where he has maintained his place as one of Chicago’s leading composers for commercials, TV shows, and movies. In 2001, he co-founded Comma Music with Bryan Rheude; a company that has been on the top echelon ever since. Always at the forefront of their profession, he and Rheude launched Particle Audio, a company that focuses on sound design and post audio.
Pecorella has composed and produced music for thousands of radio and television commercials. Recent clients include Apple, McDonald’s, ESPN, Gatorade, Hallmark, Budweiser, Kelloggs, Nike, Dodge, Chevy and Ford. In addition, he's scored feature films performed by the Czech National Philharmonic and the renowned London Symphony Orchestra. He maintains his roots in big band as the Band Leader for his group, The Brass Knuckles. Most recently Larry performed alongside Oscar winners The Swell Season at his studio in front of a small intimate crowd.
Larry’s expertise stems from years of writing, directing and performing with live musicians. His profession as a musician / composer / conductor has allowed him to collaborate with some of the most talented creatives in the world. When Larry is not dealing with musical notes you can most likely find him on the golf course, another one of his passions.
